Airport porters and hotel porters never get more than U$S 1 for all bags.
It is customary to leave 10% in cafeterias and restaurants and to tip doormen, porters, ushers at cinemas, etc giving 5 % of the ticket price.
Locals give no tips to taxi cabs, but the standard practice is to round the fare up to the nearest peso or 50 centavos to provide a small tip.
Gas station attendants get $1 or $2 when they fill the tank, wash the windshield, and perform the usual services, such as checking the oil. Hotels add a service charge to all room bills
